An important new industry resource has been published which sets out guidance and a framework for the adoption of ‘Design for Manufacture & Assembly’ principles on projects. Issued by the RIBA, the new DFMA Overlay to its well established Plan of Work document used by the majority of project teams in building construction is now available. Cast have contributed to its formulation including the embedment of the Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) Definition Framework and the concept of Pre-Manufactured Value (PMV) Our CEO Mark Farmer also gave a keynote speech at the launch discussing the key role that architects and other professionals have in driving DfMA and modernisation.
