The housing deficit has highlighted the immediacy for local planning authorities and developers to find space to build millions of new homes across the UK via strategic land investments. This build-out will require methodical planning in order to ensure there is a large proportion of affordable properties built on diverse land, and also requires local authorities to have more autonomy in securing land to be built upon.
