Why Cast

The Cast Business

Cast was founded in 2016. We are a specialist consultancy focused on driving positive change in the development and construction industry. Our engagement with the market and thought leadership provides us with unique insight which helps our clients drive better results.

Our business is circa 100 people strong with service offerings include project management, cost management, strategic advisory and construction integration. The spectrum of propositions we offer is developed and evolved through our understanding of changing market needs.

Our projects cover a range of sectors and residential assets spanning build to rent, later living, co-living, affordable housing and private for sale tenures as well as student accommodation and hotels. Our project typologies range from single family low density housing to high rise urban development  and from new build to regeneration.

Cast Culture & Values

As a business, and individuals, we believe in helping our clients deliver great and viable homes and places whilst also addressing bigger economic, societal, and environmental challenges. We believe in being a positive part of the solution to the housing crisis rather than part of the problem.

We are committed to ensuring we are thinking about the broader implications of how we conduct our business, including the impacts from the projects we help to deliver. We do this through the Cast Contribution which recognises the importance of:

  • Climate Change
  • Social Value and Community
  • Diversity
  • Wellbeing

We have three values – respect, share, learn – which influence the behaviours of everybody in the business.

Cast Strategy & Innovation

Our strategy and approach to innovation reflects our culture and values as well as our approach to our services. Our current three-year strategy is focussed on driving positive change in both the operation of our business and the wider development and construction industry.

We believe we can bring about that change through our current strategy which concentrates on:

  • Modern Methods of Construction & Pre-Manufactured Value
  • Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) thinking
  • Product & Process Optimisation

We believe delivering to these three themes can be better enabled through an internal improvement agenda focused on digitalisation and technology enablement as well as developing our people and capability
